This only happens in one world at the moment. At any random moment, no matter what I'm doing, my screen will turn black and my computer will restart.
My computer:
Macbook Pro 15" mid-2010 (Running windows 7 home premium x64)
Nvidia Geforce gt 330m
Core i7 1st gen @ 2.67ghz 2 threads per 2 cores
500 GB
What I've tried:
I thought it could be an issue with my graphics card, so I ran some other games. No errors or crashes
I though it could be a problem with an external device, so I unplugged my mouse and power cord, but the crash still happened.
I thought my computer could be overheating, so I ran a fan control program and monitored the temperatures. They we high (~60-90C) but not high enough to warrant a shut down (105C)
I thought my world could have corrupted chunks so I ran the Minecraft Region Fixer, but it reported no errors.
Additional Notes:
I get no blue screen from these crashes. It could possibly be since I run Windows on a mac, but I'm not sure. If I boot into mac right after the crash it reports a kernel panic.
I think it could be a problem with faulty RAM, but I can't run memtest because it has issues with macs
There is no lag before the crash
The crash can happen any amount of time into the game. It can be an hour later or as soon as I start.
