1) Firewall / Internet security suite blocking the connection
2) cracked minecraft having inserted bogus data in hosts file for session.minecraft.net
3) Java 7 trying to use IPv6 in appropriately
4) Time / Date set wrong causing SSL connections to fail
I've been trying to download and play minecraft on my MacBook, but when I try to log in, it says:
(Not Downloaded)
Any tips? I check Library > Application Support > minecraft.
The minecraft folder is there, but it contains no files. Any help would be great.
Thanks,

If you can't log in, explain why not.
I'd really like a fix for it, as soon as possible.
EDIT:
This is what the error looks like.
1) Firewall / Internet security suite blocking the connection
2) cracked minecraft having inserted bogus data in hosts file for session.minecraft.net
3) Java 7 trying to use IPv6 in appropriately
