So I recently installed Windows 8 RTM because I wanted to try it out, as I had really never given it a chance, I had always just marked it as horrible. So I installed it (keeping windows 7, of course), and I installed the AMD Drivers for Windows 8 and downloaded minecraft. Well, when I played minecraft I was getting framerate anywhere between 25 and 125 FPS. On windows 7 I almost always stay above 135 FPS. Thing is, with Windows 8, it jumps from 25 to 125 constantly, there is no pattern. The framerate is just highly unstable. Also, light sources seem to cause extreme lag. Looking at multiple light sources makes Minecraft look like a slideshow. My GPU is a AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB, so that's not the problem.
Does anybody have a fix for this? I can go back to Windows 7 any time, but I want to test everything to its fullest extent on Windows 8 first.

It might be an issue with your graphics card drivers, try checking for an update.
I have the most recent drivers that are compatible with Windows 8, and I even tried reinstalling them earlier with no avail.
