For awhile now, when I have been playing in Single Player, my location and inventory does not save when I save and exit a world. Anything that I did to the landscape (digging, farming etc.) is exctly as I had left it when I saved, but my location and inventory seems to be fro mthe last time the game auto saved, or at the very least is not what I left it as.For example, if I had just mined out some diamond ore, then exit the world, the next time I enter the world, I would be back to where I was several minutes before I found the diamond ore, and my inventoy does not have the diamonds. But the ore remains mined.
I tried reinstalling Mineraft completely, and have started brand new world file in 1.4.2, but the problem has persisted. It does not happen immediately, but when I have been playing the save after awhile. Right now my guess is some type of memory issue with Java.
Other relevant information:
• I am running OSX Snow Leopard on a MacBook Pro
• I am using an unmodded Minecraft 1.4.2, no texturepacks
• This issue only occurs in Single Player. I have not replicated the problem connecting and saving on Servers.
• I have NOT observed this issue when opening the save to LAN while someone else has been playing with me.
I'm not sure wether this has anything to do with the same problem but when ever I add a new server to my list, it disappears when I stop playing that server and go to the front page, start playing on a different server or when I quit.
PLEASE answer if you know anything about these problems.
Your player.dat is somehow not being saved. How often does the game autosave? When you want to leave tab-out of Minecraft and do other stuff until you know the game autosaved. It sounds like it is saving your player.dat only when it auto-saves.
what do you mean by 'only when it auto saves' and I was just going to auto connect to my friends server (the server doesn't have an actual name tag thingo) and then shadowraze (my favourite server) looses connection. Is it just a coincidence that it lost connection right then or does it have anything to do with the friends server. And is this the same problem ( the not saving in single player and the server stuff).

Retired StaffAjad said when he exits the world and comes back, it only kept what his player has/location from when it last auto-saved
Contact me on skype @ adamskyler1990 (my name is Eli, at the time, I liked to get free op on small servers, so that was my scheme
)
Hi,
Please make your own topic, bumping old ones are a bad idea.
