I am having a strange issue in SSP. After loading my world, I seem to spawn in some kind of voidlike space just outside of my base. I fall continuously for a few moments, then respawn (without dying) in my base. After respawning, I have a small loaded area to move around in, and any area outside of that zone will no longer load. If I attempt to move out of that zone, I fall into this "void" again and have to wait a few moments before respawning in my base.
As if that alone wasn't frustrating enough, my switches and pressureplates no longer respond, my iron doors will not open, and blocks will respawn after I break them. I can also see a zombie just outside my base, seemingly frozen, and standing in direct sunlight without burning.
Did I break the world somehow? Does Minecraft God hate me?
I've been running version 1.4 without problems for the past few days, and even earlier today, the problem only started about an hour ago. I've tried forcing an update, and I've tried just rebooting my system, nothing seems to work. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
