After around 10 minutes of playing minecraft, my computer crashes without warning.
I am running Windows 7 64-bit
Yes, I have the most recent java update in 64bit
Yes, all of my drivers are updated
Yes, my windows is updated
Yes, previous minecraft versions worked in the past
No, my computer is not overheating
I was playing minecraft without any issues this summer, and decided to give it a play and found myself with this problem and been trying to fix it all day. It is the most recent version (1.4.2)
I am able to run plenty of other games without issue, minecraft just keeps killing my computer after about 10 minutes of play. My screen goes blue and I am forced to turn off my computer. From searching I have found other people with the same problem but no real solution, just "derkadurr, update ur java"
I hope to find a solution soon or somebody with the same problem

it will let you look at the dump file from the blue screen, and the most likely files in use at the moment of the crash, should help worl out what the issue is.
It may not be minecraft itself, but something like bad RAM which is only getting noticed when minecraft accesses that memory area

i cant do anything when my computer freezes, the blue screen shows no information. my screen just goes blue and repeats whatever sound was going.
also, i did a diagnostic test for RAM and there are no problems
