Any suggestions as to why this is happening?
If you know, please reply with your answer. It happens with all texture packs, and I am not using any mods!

I'm going to assume you have an NVidia Graphics card. Right click your desktop > Click Nvidia Control Panel > And under the 3D settings tab and on "Adjust Image Settings with Preview" click "Let the 3D application decide" or "Use the advanced 3D image settings", If you set yours to quality manually, it will display those awful blue lines. Hope this helps, and hope you have an nvidia (i dont know how to do this on AMD graphics card. ahaha)
