I wasn't able to play Minecraft for 2 days (obviously not a long time lol) but in that 2 days I was trying to figure out how to fix the hs_error_pid error that will not allow you to play MC. It simply crashes and closes the game and a file pops up named hs_error_pid. Now, I do not know how common this is but this is for those who do have it.
***THIS HAS WORKED FOR ME***
Find the .minecraft file and open it.
Go to options.
Where it says advanced openGL: true, put it to false. (If its already false, then that may not be the problem, sorry.)
Save.
Open Minecraft, and it should work. (It has for me)

Once again, this may not work for everyone.
