hello, I'm fairly new here but I've been playing minecraft for a while now.
I asked decided to put this question here, because I searched around and couldn't really find an answer to my problem.
First is some information.
I am playing a normal un-edited or modded version of the new 1.4 Minecraft program.
I am using HP computer with the touchpad to play.
My problem is that recently after downloading the new 1.4 I noticed that I couldn't now normally access items in the game like I did normally before.
An example is that I will open up my inventory to select and item that I have. Usually, how it works for me is if I want to pick up and item, I will just left-click it and move it around, and when I right click-it, if I have more of that item, I can get like half of the item, or all of it and right-click to drop one by one, or something similar.
However, now. I cannot use the right-click at all, normally, or the left-click.
In order for me to use both, I have to go to the control's tab, and edit the use for the pick block command and set it to click 1 or click 2. choosing click one will disable the left-click button, but allow me to pick up half of my items with the right-click button and drop one at a time, and choosing click 2 will disable the right-click and allow me to pick up a block/stack at a time with the left-click button.
Oddly enough, it's like somehow I've been disabled from using my mouse fully while still getting half of what I want. While it's not a big problem, going to the control's option every time I want to make something or pick something, it really annoying and time consuming.
Is there a reason why this is happening? It didn't start until the update, so I am wondering if that has something to do with it. I have tried to force an update to minecraft to see if that would fix the problem, but it hasn't done anything at all. Does anyone know what's going on?
