I was on minecraft earlier today and updated it. I played for a little bit and realized the mod I had installed before wasn't there anymore, so I got off. I came back a little later and the game refused to load.
I waited 30 minutes, it didn't work. I got suspicious and looked around the minecraft files to see if anything was corrupted.. minecraft.jar is gone.
how do I get it back? The game wont run without it.. what am I supposed to do?

Delete everything inside your .minecraft then run your minecraft launcher, it should re-install minecraft and you should be able to play.
