Ever since I installed the 1.4.2 update my single and multiplayer games from 1.3.2 crash the moment I enter my inventory, open a chest, or press Esc. This is an unmodified "vanilla" version of the game. The reason for this is that the items in your inventory have not been automatically updated with the rest of the game. To fix, simply "dump" all of the items in your inventory in a safe place (i.e., on the floor in your house) then open any chest or inventory. The game will freeze as it has before, issuing an error report. Now close the game, reload it, and pick up all of the items you had previously dumped. The game should now be working properly.
