I haven't played minecraft in a while and when I wanted to start playing again there was an update for the new version and so I clicked it.Now it's stuck on this screen that says 'Updating Minecraft' & 'Done Loading' above a nearly completed green bar.And no matter what I do;restart minecraft,restart my laptop etc, The screen will still be stuck like that.Any help/advice will be much appreciated.

take your firewall down for a bit. i got stuck with that problem for 2 months.

I have this problem when I try to play offline (I can't log in at all) and I've turned off my firewall.
