Ok I got an account from a friend of mine and it works perfectly fine on his end, but when I try to log in it brings me to the updating minecraft page. Then quickly to a black screen I sat their for over an hour troubleshooting this and nothing has worked.Please help it is my first premium account and it is sort of pissing me off.
Well, one thing you could do is navigate to your .minecraft folder and see if there are any crash logs, though it's unlikely.
Unfortunately, I'm no expert at this kind of stuff.
I can't even tell you all the troubleshooting i did. I got rid of the bin and resources (force updated)
I got rid of the minecraft folder all together.
I tried reinstalling several different "patchers"
Alass the same result for all of them.
Plus I can't connect to the minecraft.net/play
Any more ideas please tell me if you do.
Yes I can definitely ping it. It said something like PING minecraft.net 56 bytes
Request for timeout.
Request for timeout imcp 1
and it would keep repeating that last sentence but with the number increasing by 1's

Do you have Java/An outdated version of Java?
Unfortunately, I'm no expert at this kind of stuff.
