I've just built a sheep/wool farm but keep having these problems. I've got two sheep in a 2x3 area and they keep glitching out. We're talking walking through walls, going into each others pens etc (2 block high wall around each pen). Some of them even make their way through a half block tall gap into the water streams below. Because of this glitchy behaviour many of them end of suffocating inside the walls. I'm using 1.4 pre-release.
If you read jeb_s twitter he said " working on the suffocation glitch , no luck at all"
so that means he is currently fixing the bug for 1.4 full release
Ah, ok, so they are working on it. I didn't think this was a 1.4 pre issue though, since as far as I can remember there has always been problems with animals and glitching through blocks.
