When I close out of Minecraft javaw.exe is still running. It takes up huge amounts of memory and I just want to get rid of it. When you try to "end process" it doesn't do anything. It just stays there. Someone help please?
Ive tried that, :/ maye its the version of java.. OH! this might be useful it can shut off when i play 1.2.5 or lower. I have also tried using diffrent launchers like the technic one, Magic launcher, ect.
Either way, closing the application with the 'X' button or quitting Minecraft with the 'Quit Game' button on main menu will close the process in the same way. The only reason why this wouldn't work is because something wouldn't terminate properly, and would cause the process to freeze before it could even close.
If you run minecraft from command prompt and post any errors here, we might be able to get some information on your issue.
My best guess is that your OpenGL component of the window can't terminate - probably an issue with your graphics card / driver.
