Today I made an adventure route, and it had obsidian and a diamond pickaxe. I try to mine out the obsidian, but it took me forever to mine it out. It was obsidian all right.

It breaks when I mine it by mining it by the top, but from the bottom, when it's at full breaking point, it just doesn't break.
hmm well after debating the problem with many theories i have decided i suck at this stuff and should let someone who is good at it try to figure it out
You DID break it- it's some kind of glitch that i had in 1.4.2 ....I guess you should just wait for the next update......
So you're saying that I should've broke it but the entity wasn't saved? And breaking obsidian from the bottom works in 1.4.6, yes, it probably was a glitch.
