So i bought Minecraft and my friend liked it but wanted to get minecraftsp.exe to try before he bought. The problem is that it wont run off 64-bit java for him. I told him i would try to troubleshoot and tried EVERYTHING I know (with a few exceptions that i know would force it to run but probably not very good). Anyway, just don't tell me to remove and reinstall java or minecraft and stuff like that because it has been done over 5 times each. So any help on making minecraftsp run on 64-bit java would be great. I would like to stay away from the .bat files.
I also know that i had minecraftsp running on my system with 64bit just fine before i bought it and installed 32-bit as well (to run chrome).
Suffice specs to be this: we both run BF3 maxed. (If you need more detail just post)\
Btw i am computer savvy so you don't need to noob down your instructions.

Please post specs for your machine. Or a DXDIag would be awesome
Try totally uninstalling Java 32bit and installing Java 64bit? Also, make sure that you're going to the all downloads page and choosing the x64 version, not the x32 version.

I am not endorsing hacked clients, but I can't blame your friend for wanting a demo. Use the regular launcher and share your account with your friend until he buys it or decides not to. You can start the jar launcher with the command 'java -d64 -jar minecraft.jar' if you think the jar file is still using 32-bit for some reason (I encountered this)
