I am having trouble with Minecaft crashing while playing then displaying the error

"Minecraft has run out of memory.

This couple e caused by a bug in the game or by the Java Virtual Machine not being allocated enough memory. If you are playing in a web browser, try downloading the game and playing it offline.

To prevent level corruption, the current game has quit.

We've tried to free up enough memory to let you go back to the main menu and back to playing, but this may no have worked. Please restart the game is you see this message again."


I have tried restarting the game and have tried to find an answer on Google, but have not been able to find something. Please help me.

hi i had the same problem but fixed it by downloading the right bit version of java there is 32 and 64 bit depending on what system type you have is what bit of java you should my computer kept auto installing 32 bit so i had to manually install 64 bit java haven't had a problem sense

Could having both cause the problem?

ok first thing is first make sure you are running the right version of java if you have bolth versions installed that's going to cause major system wde errors down the road....
just make your life much easer and use the right version and make sure you keep it updated and also make sure it dosen't install the outher version....
java still has this problem that they install bolth ...
