TNT explosions removing bedrock?

For some reason, when I mine down and remove bedrock (in creative mode) and light the TNT, the walls of the bedrock are gone. I don't know if it's just me or it's an error.

It's what's under the bedrock floor. When I mine down, there are walls of bedrock. When I blow up the TNT, the walls have holes in it.
