Bad video card drivers!

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

Hi everyone.

So, I built my parents a new computer a couple of days ago, and everything is running fine. I've been testing it out on various games, and making sure everything works. However, when I went to play Minecraft today, it gave me this error.

The video card is an 8800 GT, and I don't know why it isn't working on this. Every other game I've played works. And yes; the drivers are updated. I can't figure it out.

Okay, trying that now. Also, when I went into device manager, under display adapters, the video card was there, but it had an error (Code 43, to be exact). I've been researching it, but I haven't found much on it.

Edit: Yeah, I found the problem; the video card is about to kick the bucket. I suppose that's the end of this thread, then. Thank you for your help.
