I am trying to run Minecraft and I can get into the game and everything fine but as soon as I try and use my keyboard it won't let me. Even in the menu, I can't use it. :/

I am running Ubuntu 12.04 and the latest version of Minecraft.

I know the original post is a bit old, but anyway if someone is facing the same issue, make sure to deactivate the ibus daemon.
