Please help me, a few months ago, I had tried to install a mod. When you click onto the Minecraft.jar file, there is a Bin file, which then you would open, and there being all minecraft realated files. I accidently deleted everything inside the Bin File. Now when I try to log in, it just says updating and never does anything. I already tried deleting the Minecraft.jar file, and redownloading minecraft, and I also tried the option in the login screen "Force Update" but none of these work. I'm not too technical with computers, so I don't know how to fix this. Please help Thanks!
try deleting everything in the .minecraft folder except the saves folder.(this won't remove your current worlds)
then log in with the client, that should really force an update as no files at all will exist
@above, I dont care about the worlds, I never did much on them, I deleted the whole minecraft folder, and Uninstalled minecraft then re- installed it. I click the force update also, that did not work. When I get the folder back for somereason the bin folder is always empty, and usally has the textures and skins and block loads and everything.
