I can't download minecraft at all. It won't load the minecraft updates thing in the minecraft launcher as well.. Here is a screenshot of what happens when i try to download minecraft. This has never happened before.

Same thing is happening to me... Minecraft started some very weird "crashes" on me, and I thought that maybe on of my almost 40 mods was the culprit, so I deleted everything to start installing my updated mods one at a time. Now I get that "Failed to Launch - Fatal error(4):null" error when I try to download Minecraft.

It opens for less than a second. Then closes. Can't read anything it says

I added a "pause" command to the end of the bat file, and I can see it says: "Error: could not load main class..."

I think this is a prob at minecraft.net, but I do not wanna wait to play Minecraft.

I still get the same error message...

FIGURED IT OUT! There is a virus/hacker thing going around. And you do surveys that are forced to run and when you submit your answers it downloads a program called 'relevant knowledge' and it monitors your internet and causes random freezes and stuff. I did run a virus scan but it doesn't pick it up. More about it when i removed the program minecraft worked pefectly and downloaded faster than ever which was kinda weird took like 1 or 2 seconds.
