Trying to run Minecraft on Apple OSX 10.8.2. The browser version just comes up blank. When I download the Application to install on the computer is says the App is corrupt, and has said that over many, many donwnloads the last couple of weeks. I've got a premium account that I ported over to Mojang.
Minecraft is compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, and other popular operating systems. Make sure you are downloading the correct version for your OS.

If you don't select "Anywhere" you are limited to programs from the App store/Apple certified bla bla. "Anywhere" is like how it was before Mountain Lion.
If you don't set it to "anywhere" you will get a window saying:
This program was downloaded from the internet. Do you want to install it. Yes or No
I have been using Windows computers for many years before I bought the Macbook so I am still careful about any program I load even though people keep saying Macs can't get viruses.
Why won't it worK?

You may have to reinstall or download the latest version of Java.
Select Anywhere.
That should get the client working.
I think setting this to "Anywhere" is a bad idea for security reasons.
I believe you can set the url to download from.
I help out when I can.
