I want to know where I can see if my world has structures enabled.

I have a survival world that I think I may have made unable to generate structures on accident. How would I go about finding out if this is so?

Use NBTedit to look at the level.dat for your world.
Look for the following entry:

MapFeatures: 1 or 0 (true/false) - true if the map generator should place structures such as villages, strongholds, and mineshafts.
