I've been playing Minecraft lately, and when I walk (give or take) ten steps, I stop. I can still look around, choose my inventory slot, and sneak, but I can't walk, press escape or exit out of fullscreen (f11), meaning, when I'm in fullscreen and encounter this glitch, I have to restart my computer. I'm using an Apple Wireless Keyboard, and a mac mini hooked up to a Panasonic TV via HDMI. We sit on the couch when we use it (ten feet away), but that's never been a problem when playing Minecraft before. I've put fresh batteries in the keyboard a few times, but it didn't do anything.
