look, I have Minecraft in windows 7 and used to work fine, but suddenly, now when I start Minecraft, it works fine but at a random time, the game freezes, then my whole computer!!!! and then I have to disconnect the computer because all the buttons do nothing. Also, whenever I open up the survival inventory, my computer instantly freezes.
I've tried redownloading Minecraft AND the .minecraft folder but nothing changes.I have the most recent Minecraft and Java version, I have also tried setting the CPU usage to high (NOT realtime) but still nothing. I have also set Minecraft in compatability mode for Vista service pack 2 but to no avail. It keeps freezing up on me...I love Minecraft and
think its the best Computer game but now I'm stuck on the feature-lacking Pocket Edition....
PLEASE IF SOMEONE KNOWS AT LEAST WHAT IS HAPPENING AND KNOWS HOW TO FIX IT PLEEEEAAASE TELL ME!!!!!!!!
Ummm.... ok, my CPU says that it has 1 GB of DDR2 memory, 250 GB Sata hard disc, and 1 GB of RAM, and says that it has 896 MB of usability... is that bad? And I have SiS Mirage 3 Graphics card that has 192 available graphics memory... Was that helpful?

I agree with webrosc, the more RAM you have, the more your computer can handle Minecraft. Also, graphics cards/video cards aren't cheap, so make sure you check the reviews for each one you look into to see if it would do well for your expectations.

1GB or ram and 896MB free means your running your os on 104MB which is pretty amazing
Looking at your graphics card i think its most likely not upto the job, you may need to get an atcuial graphics card rather than the onboard
well, it says 57 of available physical memory
and it might be just the graphics card? would I need to buy one or can I download one?
