hello minecraft community. I haven't played minecraft for pretty much most of the year so far, I put in hundreds of hours towards the end of 2011 and beginning of 2012 and burnt out. I've been wanting to play a little again but I've run into an issue I've encountered before.
I cannot update my client.
I have moved my .minecraft folder to my desktop so I can download a fresh minecraft.jar, but that won't download either. Simply put I can't connect to Mojang's servers. I have allowed it through my firewall and antivirus, and have tried logging on with both of those programs disabled, neither works.
I remember a fix to this issue that I found when I had this problem before, where if you had your java updated past what minecraft was on when it last patched, you would be unable to connect to the Mojang servers. That being said, I have no idea what version of java minecraft is using atm.
