When i go on it shows the mojang logo, the title like regular, but when i try to open a world it says building terrain, then goes to the title screen, freezes and then crashes. i dont know if anybody else is having this problem. i have no mods.
Maybe trying forcing update will fix it. Thats usually the best first thing to try. Then maybe uninstall and reinstall. Or maybe its your java? Try updating to the latest version.
I Tried all that. my friend checked it out and said that something is messed up in the .jar files and the code is different. i did not cause any of that though. i updated it and REinstalled it. is anybody else having problems with this? oh ya and also thnx ghostly grin for trying to help. (sorry if that may seem sarcastic. it is not supposed to be.)
Sorry hiding in the light it doesn't work for a mac user :/
I didn't think so, but seeing as the title of this thread is 'MInecraft on mac osx is not working. Please help.' I thought I'd ask, since you suggested he use it.
I DL'ed the test script, how do I do it?
I have tried deleting old MC, clearing the cache, updating java and anything else I could figure.
Never gets past the "building terrain" message

Retired StaffDoes that work on mac? I've neglected pointing mac user to it, since I didn't think it would.
