I'm getting this same error that so many other people seem to get. Before you reply, here are the things that I have done:
- Checked for updated drivers from the ASUS site (motherboard is P8H67-M with onboard graphics Intel HD 2000)
- Checked for an installed slightly newer graphics drivers from the Intel site
- Reinstalled the minecraft client from scratch
- Installed a new version of Java (just today)
- Tried to play using the browser version instead
I'm running Windows XP SP3.
Is it possible that my onboard graphics card is not supported? Is there another place I should be looking for OpenGL drivers specifically? Any help on this would be appreciated.
Error message from Minecraft quoted below:
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

You are correct, the drivers provided by Asus are slightly old. As stated above though, I have already installed the newest drivers from Intel.

Retired StaffYou can try running MC using a different launcher, such as MultiMC.
If it doesn't work with multiMC, then please post a dxdiag.
That did it! Thanks kindly. (Also thanks for introducing me to MultiMC, great program).
