Please tell me someone can help with this. Had saved up about 35 diamond ore blocks using silk touch pickaxe (over the course of days), and then kept trying to enchant a pickaxe and get fortune (again, over the course of a few days). Finally got one! And it was sweet... fortune III, efficiency IV, and unbreaking III. Wow! So, put it in a chest with the diamond ore so I wouldn't lose them. Then, kept playing and logged out. When I logged back in, they were gone!!!! Both of them!
Anybody know how I can get these back? It's just such a kick in the pants when I worked so hard to get them!!!!
Were you signed in the entire time while you were mining and enchanting? The only problem I could think of was it not saving correctly. Although, if you live with somebody and they went on your world and hid them, that's possible, too.

thanks guys. One other tidbit, I had saved the game once and was doing some other things for a few hours. Then I came back and played again, and when I reloaded that save it was all there.
Then, I put back into the box and quit and saved a second time, and it was after that time that when I reloaded it was missing.
Any way to reload back to the save that was inbetween, the one that worked?
I just had another problem where I placed a dispenser, saved, and then reopened and it was gone. Rebooting computer now. But still, any way to go back and at least still get back to a save version that had the diamond ore or pickaxe? Unfortunately, I've been saving as the same name each time, so it's probably overwritten (ARGH). But still wanted to ask...ree
