RAM: 6GB(5.48 GB usable)
Processor: AMD A8-35000MAPU with Radeon(tm)HD Graphics 1.50 GHz
64 bit operating system idk if this helps but i really want get my minecraft up to its original speed
p.s.p. i did try to download a torrent the other day witch is when it started laggin if its a virus please tell me how to clean it and also i have optifine installed idk if that helps but it didnt change anytihng when i turned alot of the settins to the fastest
1: What render distance you use
2: How much RAM you use to launch minecraft
3: What version of minecraft you are using.
These all determine how much FPS you're getting, which may be what's going on for you. If you want to launch minecraft with more RAM you probably want to download the Minecraft Magic Launcher, and say I want to run it with 3000 mega bytes (approximately 3 GB) of RAM. You also might try turning your render distance down, which is what I did with my minecraft (1.3.2, Normal Render Distance, 100 FPS, 4 GB of RAM) What version of minecraft matters because since 1.3.2 it has become a self-hosted minecraft local server. That's why it has laggy animals and monsters.
As far as the supposed virus goes, I have no idea. I don't have a lot of experience with viruses, as I use a mac, but my only suggestion is that you either delete the torrent or put it in it's own folder, as appose to on your desktop or something.

ok i just realized something that probably is important.....
minecraft only really lagged when i went on a server called pvp.oc.tc witch is liek a massive pvp battle and it usally had 100 people and massive maps i didint think that was the reason of it because it didnt make me get like 10 fps it made me have mavbye 23 at least but for now i think the problems is fixed and i actully increased my minecraft fps to 40 thanks for the note about magic launcher
