Been playing Minecraft since the beta. Bought the game before it came out. I've gone through many updates as have you all. Tried out mods, removed them. Used texture packs, removed them. But since the last update to 1.3.2 ... I have not been able to get past the blackscreen that happens just after log in and the update/upload bar scrolls to the end. You think the game is about to load and .... ugh. Black screen.
I have deleted the .bin file. I have deleted the bin AND resource files. I have updated both Java and all pertinent drivers for this system. I have updated firefox. I have flipped off firewalls. I have run every scan I own to check for some hidden virus lurking in the depths of my system. NOTHING is working.
I have read so many forum posts that I nod and say 'YES! that's ME! Now how did you .... Oh, I did that. Still getting the black screen.
I am obviously overlooking something. And I would bet it's something simple.
I do not want to have to stop playing this game. I have invested many many hours with my children. We all LOVE this game.
Any help to finally solve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Lupi

You are a genius. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out.
Instead of going to Nvidia and selecting the driver I already had and updating that, I googled
"Windows XP 32 bit English Nvidia Driver" ...
clicked the first link, downloaded THAT driver
- checked for viruses
- installed - updated
- defragged
- rebooted ... then held my breath.
You got two arms in the air and a whoop whoop. It looked at first like minecraft was going to hang up again, but after only a second I got the beloved white Mojang logo and the game loaded.
Added in my old Saves and my favorite texture pack, restarted it ... and it's working!
I will be happily MCing again into the wee hours thanks to you.
wow... I REALLY need your help, I hope you can get back to me soon, because I really want to get back to my happy MCing... I am pretty sure you can help me, my error report is this,
