I have been playing MC for about 3 years. Love it! But I am having a weird problem in my chicken house now. It is not an automated chicken farm, just a glass house. I lured 2 chickens in with wheat and then bred them up to 8 or 9 chickens. At the same time I built a wheat farm for raising wheat to breed them with. But now when I feed them wheat, nothing happens. The wheat decrements in my inventory as if I've fed them, but I get no hearts and no baby chicks. I am using the stock 1.3 without any snapshots. Windows 7, 64-bit machine. Any ideas?

After you breed any animal, there's a period of waiting time before you can breed them again. Wait a while and see if you can breed them again.
Yes, I know this. I only feed them once a (MC) day, in the morning, to avoid wasting wheat. But you see the bug is that though the wheat count decrements in my inventory, the chicken does not act as though it's been fed. It doesn't produce any hearts.
