I was playing minecraft with no mods, and I was in my little mine shack. I wanted to head back to my house to go to the nether. So I grabbed a minecart and as I placed the minecart the game crashed. So I reopened it and selected the world but the game immediately crashed. I was using the snapshot, but it was not the newest, so I downloaded the newest snapshot and tried it again. It crashed again, and again. Has this problem happened to anyone else, and if so, can you tell me how to fix it. I have put in at least 200 hours into this world. And if the file is corrupted somehow, can I get the world back?
You may be able to use MCedit, and try to delete the minecart that you placed and see if that fixes it.
Remember, snapshots are beta releases and are likely to have bugs, and for that matter so are full releases.. Back up any worlds you have an attachment to, especially before installing snapshots.
If MCedit doesn't work you can try force updating back to 1.3.2, but if you used any new blocks, it may cause issues, and so might the bat that is spawned in the world.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! In MCEdit I went to where I was and there was a red block there. I tried to delete it but that did not work. So I force updated and I can play on it. You saved me lots of stress and time. And now my minecraft world wasn't for nothing. I just made a backup. Thank you very much for helping me!
