Hello everyone,

I'm a newly register on this forum. I'd like to share my problem with minecraft and I'd like some support if available and possible.

However I got a free minecraft account by a gift code that was given to me by my best pal. I got it in 2011. I bought about 3 new computers, I'm using the 3rd one. Everything worked a couple of months back, normally. However now I get this error now: "classnotfoundexception net.minecraft.launcher". I rarely go register on forums and fill these in, because I usually find a solution on google.com. I had loads of problems such as with java, opengl, graphics card, I got through them easily. But this, eh, I just can't figure out.

Okay so, when I open the browser, go to: "www.minecraft.net", log in and when I click the link to the "/play", I go to the game loading page. I see this: "Error. Click for details" with red letters. Then I see this;

"classnotfoundexception net.minecraft.launcher", then it says "details", so I go onto that and see this:

Just that.

I've tried; Reinstalling java, installing java 6 & 7 version, deleted the .minecraft in the applications folder and now I cannot download it back. However before I deleted the .minecraft, I could of played only in singleplayer and on the "minecraft.exe" client. I have WINDOWS XP Pro. I can't login aswell on the client, however I can log into the website of minecraft.

I have no idea what to try anymore, can anyone please post their suggestions or something? I'd VERY MUCH appreciate. I really miss minecraft, I even tho gave away loads of stuff on other multiplayer games just to find a solution for me.

Thanks for the fast reply. Ofcourse, I've tried almost everything (._.). I'm trying to re-download the minecraft.jar files and stuff but I can't even get to the game so I can't download. Overall it works from the client but only if I play in singleplayer, I can't login into my acc idk why. On the website I can login.. I tried both minecraft classic, demo and full.

Yes I tried redownloading, even the ".minecraft" folder from my friend and placing it into appdata. I deleted the ".minecraft" folder now I can't redownload it myself from Minecraft.net.

When I launch Minecraft I do it through terminal and the Virtual Machine (Minecraft) is called "net.minecraft.launcher".
Just a lead you maybe able to go on.

It can be that there is an issue with that. (or at least of it has spaces or strange characters)

Something is missing within the game launcher. Have you tried getting the EXE to run?

The EXE can run fine, but I cannot login nor play (because I deleted the ".minecraft" folder). When I had the .minecraft folder I could play only singeplayer (couldn't login no idea why - can although login on minecraft.net). I need to fix this problem, please help me!

Is there any other possible way to solve this situation?
What about NET framework, or redistabutable thingies? I've uninstalled NET framework (all that were installed), because I can't run a program to install mods for GTA SAN ANDREAS (SAMI). I can't install Net Framework 1.1 which I thought I could reinstall, is that the problem for both minecraft and that program?

Any helppppp?
