For about 2 months now I have not been able to connect to minecraft via launcher or in browser on my Macbook Pro. I have three other computers in my house that I can connect from but i would like to be able to connect on my computer. The specs on my computer:
Mac OS X Version 10.5.8 Leopard
Processor: 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo
Memory: 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
This has been going on for a while, I deleted minecraft to clear my mods a while back and when i tried to "Force Update" my minecraft client it tried to load then crashed. Since then, every time I try to connect it does not work. And I cannot play off line because it cannot connect to the servers to download the game.. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks.
I completely formatted my hard drive and reinstalled Mac OS X and put nothing but java updates and minecraft on it, I get the same: Can't connect to minecraft.net
Dude, this same exact thing is happening to me. I'm on my MacBook running OS X 10.5.8 with a 2 GHz Intel Core Duo processor and 2 GB of DDR2 SDRAM I have no idea how to fix it, although I do have an idea. I'm going to try to transfer all of my minecraft data from one of my other computers that can run it and see if that helped at all. Will edit post if test works. Wish me luck.
