Hey, i recently started playing minecraft MP with some mates. Upon joining my friends server i this insane lag. I fall through the world forever and when i suddenly appear in the world it takes me 3-4 minutes to "catch up" to the other players. After catching up its still lagging, like 0-15+ seconds of lag.

I port forwarded minecraft, but the heart of the issue persisted. Im not getting the "joining issues" which I adressed first.

I've tried other servers which are pretty much the same.

Edit: Sorry, forgot to mention that. It's internet lag. I know the difference. Got more than enough to run this game.

Well, either you need a better computer, or you need a mod like OptiFine.
You should probably post system specs for someone to look over.

I'm not talking bad fps, im talking lag. Got a 6000+ 3D mark score'.

One of us is hosting it. It's 450 km away from me, but the other player is playing where im playing from, and he doesn't have any lag.

Firewall is disabled, no virusprogram other than AVG. No torrent clients running, etc. No other bandwith use than minecraft + skype.
Running ALL other games without problems.
