Hi everyone,so this is the situation

at the moment i have a desktop with internet connection but it cant run minecraft at all (due to the graphics card)

now i have just recently gotten a low end laptop but i think it can run minecraft, the laptop doesn't have internet connection so i have tried to transfer my .minecraft file from my desktop to my laptop, didn't work

on my desktop i have windows xp and on my laptop i have vista

does anyone know how i can get minecraft to work,

P.S. i have tried minecraft portable and it doesn't launch AND .. when i try to launch the minecraft exe i get an error about permissions

i always use the admin account by default.. so problems still apply

Invest in a decent PC, start saving now and maybe try for a windows 8 one? If not, wait till windows 8 comes out. Pretty sure windows 7 prices will instantly drop then so it should save a bit of money

i tried the :run as admin" option but it still said the same thing

windows can access the specified device, program or file.you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item

also now i think vista has write protected my USB which i had minecraft on

i cant copy it.. that permission message is what i get when i try and copy the exe file to my laptop
