So here is my situation, i carry around minecraft's launcher on a flash drive often. So I often play it at school, or other places i go. The school is worried about bandwidth and they have a program that restores the computer back to a predefined state during every shutdown, that of course deletes all saved files and setting, like the minecraft.jar and saved worlds. is there a way to redirect the minecraft launcher to thinking the .minecraft app data folder is on the flash drive (and of course actually put it there), so all my files are with me on the flash drive, not just the launcher. That way I wont have to download .minecraft when i play the game and i can keep my saved games. I realize i could do this manually by transferring the files, but my account at school doesn't have the administrative privileges to do so.
