There must be a glitch somewhere regarding spawning in light. I had read before that yea, they come from around corners and such however what I just had happen can only 100% mean that a creeper just spawned 2 squares from a torch and 2 squares from 2 different jack-o-lanterns. in my house I have a fancy stairwell that goes up 4 steps than has a landing which has 2 sets of steps going up either side. I came from the main floor which is a large well lit room, and I mean very well lit and went up my stairs. got to my 2nd floor and went around a corner, turned back and lo-and-behold on the middle f the stairwell landing I just came from is a creeper. this entire pathway was clear sub 5 secs earlier with zero possible way in to get to this point. I've had suspicions before but this just confirmed it. Can I please have an official rep or mod comment on this. thanx.
a couple of notes. there is no way into my house/building as the walls are solid.
The rooms are paranoidly well lit and this little guy just appeared floating on a landing in mid air inside my building. The entire building and all rooms are insanely well lit. I gaurantee you that there is zero possibility that this creeper came from anywhere aside from spawning where it appeared.

Try switching to Peaceful mode.
