How do I fix this problem my world in a 1.2.5 world and when I back it up or copy it to make it a server my house and every thing i have built is gone. I'm currently playing 1.3.2.
Uhhh.... You need to give a bit more info or if your minecraft crashed please post a crash report. I will review it and tell you what I think if you have one!

Um it never crashed it's just when I copy my world which is 1.2.5 to make into a server it deletes everything I have built.
has your worlds.
Each directory in there is one world and each world directory must be maintained as a unit, which it sounds like you are not doing.
To convert that world to a server, you the appropriate directory (e.g. bin/saves/New World) to your server folder and either rename the directory to the name that your server expects it to have, or edit your server.properties to point to the name of the directory.
If you are not using vanilla minecraft server, you need to go do some research. I believe that Bukkit for example does not use the standard layout.
