I have no idea why this is happening, but I've recently gotten a new computer and thought I would test out Minecraft, and noticed that there were white lines between each block of water in the ocean. I don't know if this is a bug in Minecraft or it's my fault, it definitely doesn't make the game unplayable, but I was just curious what the reason for this was. I'm running the game on fancy settings, smooth lighting, etc. Not a major issue, I was just curious what this was happening for, because I don't remember this happening with my old computer.
Go to your graphics settings and there will probably be a slider that says "Quality" and "Performance", check the box that says: Let the applicaiton decide.

Retired StaffMake sure both are set to 'Let the application decide' or 'Use application settings' or 'Off' depending on the brand of graphics card you have.
I'll take a look
Worked, thanks. Probably should have checked the settings first, lol.
