I use the Fast optifine as I have 1.3.2 and they have not yet updated the multicore. I don't run anything else while playing Minecraft, and I have no texture packs or mods on besides this one. Prior to optifine I only got around 5 fps. Sad, I know.

Thank you! I'm now getting up to 32 FPS, much better haha.

Think of upgrading to win 7 64 bit and getting more RAM.
Invest in a good GPU. Just something to think about if u want more fps or play games other than minecraft

It looks like you only have three gigabytes of RAM. was your computer faster before using Optifine?

How is your pagefile larger than your RAM?
