I'm unsure of why, but whenever I try to play on my mac laptop, my client crashes when loading the world, or in multiplayer, the server. I hadn't experienced this problem until my sister deleted an older version of the client off the laptop and I had to download a new one. My client was patched for HD textures.
Here is the error report.

Maybe try loading minecraft without the texture pack installed to see if it will load. I had a similar problem when I downloaded the client it attempted to load the texture pack and I hadn't patched it yet so minecraft crashed.
Thanks for the help, but I have already tried that. I still get the exact same error report. I am beginning to think it has something to do with the new client.

Thats very possible, my laptop can no longer run minecraft since 1.3 but before that it ran it fine. Hopefully they make it less CPU intensive like it was before.
Agreed, and I don't think it is the fact that it is CPU intensive on my laptop, quite the contrary, my laptop used to run 512x textures just fine, but more so the launcher must be a bit buggy for mac.
