When I go to launch Minecraft it just sits for 15 seconds then I an error box that reads "Could Not Create the Java Virtual Machine"


Minecraft used to work and launch perfectly up until recently when this began happening

Please, any help would be appreciated

Specs
Windows XP sp3
ATIRadeon5450 1024mb video ram
3.3gb of ram
Soundmax HD Audio
Intel Dual core e8400 3.0ghz

You need to re install java. I'd recommend updating to Java 7 and re downloading minecraft just to be safe.

Tried all that

Now I get an error box that reads

"Error Could not create java virtual machine"
"Error a fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit"

same problem ... It would be nice if notch would have a team dispatched to solve this problem ... if there's someone that can fix this ... definitely the ones who created the game ... maybe provide a hotfix for the error or something like that

Weird, my minecraft has just randomly started working again, thanks for your time anyway

It might be your operating system. My Windows Vista is extremely buggy with Minecraft and has the same problem as you, so I suggest try using Windows seven.
