OK,
so downloaded alot of mods.
(Forge, rei's minimap, Clay soldier mod)
OK, that didn't work.
Let me try deleting all of those...
*Force Update*
OK...
Should fix this...
Why am I running at 0.5 FPS now ... ?
^ This has been my last few days ^
Can't get passed the menu' screen, because its just going so slow at a frame/ five seconds...
Don't know why.
tried forcing more updates...
Nothing...
It should be pure un-modded minecraft now...
For some reason, it is agonizingly going at a framerate that you would only get
if your running 50 other programs behind it.
Although, minecraft is the only thing having this problem.
Log-in screen? Fine. Update screen when forcing update? Fine.
Minecraft menu screen? It took me 5 seconds after scrolling to "multiplayer" for it to highlight,
and the backround is at a stand-still.
Sounds like quite the problem.. Hardware error maybe? Is 3D acceleration on? Is this happening with any other 3D game? Did you check your startup folder and see if there are any programs there that may be starting up as a process?

Retired StaffDelete the entire .minecraft folder
Run the launcher again, so it downloads everything fresh.
Close Minecraft.
Put the saves folder back if you wanted to restore any old save files.
I'll try that.
Thanks for the help & Support.
