Hey everyone! New to these forums, glad to meet you. Also I apologize if this is in the wrong section! I'm not sure if this would fall under a computer or my game client issue...
Anyways, on to the issue I'm having. I've dealt with this for a long time now, but I'm finally starting to get sick of it.
Basically what my problem is my keyboard or mouse will "double click" when I'm holding a certain key down or the left mouse button to "attack" etc. To put it into better perspective, imagine two blocks in minecraft on top of each other. (I'm in creative, so the blocks break immediately) I'll only want to break the top one, but it will break the bottom one right after it, even though I've only clicked once. Another issue I've found (and I'm almost positive they're related) is when I'm flying, and when I want to ascend I will hold the space bar, right? Well, when I do it, it cancels out the fly mode because my computer I'm assuming is taking my ascend command, doubling it and my characters falls back to the ground. I've noticed I can press the space bar (and let go really quickly) and my character ascends ever so slightly, but if I hold it (in order to ascend higher for a longer period of time) my character falls.
Has anyone else had this issue or might know where the problem lies? I might also add that 1, I'm playing on a laptop running Windows 7, and 2, I recently found some old scrap computer parts and threw together an old tower. I installed WinXP and Ubuntu on it, and installed Minecraft on both OS's. I ran both, and neither Windows XP nor Ubuntu have the issue I'm having on my laptop.
Thanks, and again I apologize if this is in the wrong section! The reason I posted it in this section was because the example I'm using is Minecraft for my issue. Regardless, feel free to move it if necessary.
Thanks for your reply. Hmm. I'm using my laptop currently, and I don't have any spare GPU's for laptops laying around, lol. Could it be a driver problem maybe? Or is it the actual hardware?
