I've never had problems with Minecraft until now. I recently installed windows 8 and it won't even run for more than 10 seconds ish before it freezes completely. I lose the cursor and the only way to close the application is to Ctrl + shift + esc and close it. Java is taking up about 50% of my quad core when it is frozen and my ram is not being overloaded. I'm wondering if it has something to do with windows 8 directly? I don't know though...
It does not crash with a crash report, it simply freezes the entire game / computer and I'm not even full screen. I do have the latest graphics card driver for my machine. As soon as I installed my windows 8, I installed Guild Wars 2 to try it out and it runs fine. I saw another post from someone else about windows 8 problems and the reply said that windows 8 is beta software, but I have a full Windows 8 professional through the University. I am not sure what to do to log/track the problem to give a report to you guys, it simply freezes and doesn't come back without me closing it through task manager.
