This mornibng, minecraft ran fine. But because of system problem, went to previous restore point. No minecraft, so reinstalled Java and minecraft. Launcher gives news message, but went I log in, it briefly shows update screen and then goes black. Had noticed during installation of Java it gave error message: Installation: Wrapper.CreateFile failed with error5: Access is denied.

I have had this same issue for over a week. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Java, updated all video drivers etc etc and still I get the black screen. We originally were able to play 'in browser'... this failed a couple of months ago but we were still able to play by clicking' download' and getting started this way. Now both ways of playing don't work. Any ideas what else can be done?
